Handmade and Homemade

For a while, I've been thinking about making myself some new recipe cards. The inside of my recipe box is a complete mess. There are folded sheets of paper, random cards, pages ripped from magazines and who knows what else. So, I went over to Paper Source and got myself some blank cards, whipped up some artwork, and voila! What do you think?

I used the A2 size flat cards with a scalloped border. They are the palest shade of pink with a little bit of texture too. Perfect for my particular recipe box.

Here's the little cupcake I created for the corner. Are you surprised I went with a cupcake?

Now that I've got all these cards, I need to rewrite all the messy recipes. I suppose I'll get to that after Christmas. Baby steps, right?

p.s. Sorry about the bad photos. It's been raining here for a few days and it's practically dark in the day time!

very, very cute. I'm always wanting to get all my recipes organized, but it just never happens!

You are so good at the graphic thing. You should put some in your shop. So cute. One thing though. Keep some on original cards in the handwriting of those who gave them to you. I love looking at my grandmother's recipe cards, all stained and in her hand writing.

so cute!! I use a blank recipe book off of etsy that was just featured in Etsy Finds... can't find the link now.
If you get sick of copying all of those recipes... make another design with a chicken or egg to go along with other edibles!

Those are great - and so "you"! They are fantastic... and I agree - you could put some in your shop. : )

What adorable recipe cards! Did these come with the scallop edges or did you cut them that way? You are so creative.

I love them! I need to redo my recipe box, too. It seems like a daunting task. You are inspiring me to think about it. :)
