The British are Coming

I heard some exciting news today (thanks to ollie.kate), Liberty of London is going to be working with Target, catch a glimpse here! This may mean nothing to you if you haven't heard of Liberty, but it's thrilling to me. Liberty makes the most gorgeous (and expensive) fabric you've ever seen.

This is my current Liberty stash. It's the softest cotton! I keep it in a bag & just take it out & look at it from time to time. I'm afraid to use it for anything. Each time we go to the UK, Liberty is one of the places I try to visit.

Anyway, I'm excited to see that they'll be working with Target to share some of their patterns with those of us way over here in the US. They've got a line at Pottery Barn Kids too, fyi.

Now, if only Cath Kidston would hook up with Target too!

For the Love of Cath Kidston

One of my favorite things in the UK is anything Cath Kidston! I really miss being able to go to one of her shops whenever I feel like it.

Luckily, she sends out this free magazine/catalog every couple of months (just to tease me). You can sign up for it here.

It's filled with pretty things you'd find in her shops, or on her website (they ship internationally, just in case you're wondering). I love these mugs!

There are recipes too, and little stories about this & that.

Her fabric designs are heaven! I want them all.

She's got a few books out too. Last year my wonderful husband got me one, and also this bag. Isn't the print great?

And check out this adorable pin cushion! I miss England sometimes, especially when I get this catalog!

I know this sounds like a Cath Kidston advertisement, but I promise you, it's just me showing some love.

*sigh*

Back in the Saddle

I'm baaack! Yep, we got home on Monday afternoon and I'm ready to sew. I spent the majority of yesterday getting caught up on work emails and packing orders. Today I might get to make something!! That'd be fun.

I picked up lots of great goodies on the trip. I wanted everything at Cath Kidston but went for this cool rolly suitcase. I'd just been saying I needed a carry-on bag with wheels. Happy Birthday to me! (Thanks Nick for making me get this) I also got this. If Mrs. Kwitty ever comes over I better lock it away, I know she'd try to steal it. hehe

Nick also got me this gorgeous navy blue trench coat from Laura Ashley. This is probably the nicest item of clothing I own now & I love it! I have such a nice husband.

I must say, these two were happy to see us return. They've been very nearby since we got home. I think the live-in cat sitter was a great idea.

And now I can get to this lovliness that arrived right before we went away. Can you believe that? A whole pile of Heather Bailey goodness has been waiting for my return the sewing room. What shall I make first?
