Just a peek at what I've been making lately. A bit of everything.

Last night, the idea of making some crocheted Easter eggs just popped into my head. While Nick watched Quantum of Solace (this movie is so not my cup of tea), I came up with a pattern that works for me. I've made these six so far, I think I'll make a few more.

While working on my zipper pouch pattern, I discovered that some of the photos were missing. I had to start all over again, so this is what I made. I'm really hooked on these fabrics and this color combo. I'm thinking it's a perfect color scheme for my future laundry room. I'm going to hang this print in there for sure!

Speaking of Easter, I finally listed a Nano Bunny this morning. I wasn't sure I liked him, but he might as well get his chance for adoption. Poor Hank deserves a good home as much as any other critter. ha!

Cards & Pouches

Check out these awesome cards I just received from Inkspot Workshop. I luuuuuv them so much! Nick drove a blue mini (that's the name of his website) for a long time back home in the UK and he was brought home in a red bug that only just retired.


They even come with stickers. And wasn't it nice of Inkspot to throw in these cute tags? This is exactly what I love about Etsy. What a great seller!


And here's what I'm working on this week. Lots of new zipper pouches out of fun, fun fabrics. Yay!
I'm almost finished with my new market table skirts too. Perhaps I'll snap an action photo on Thursday.

Shout Out

Wanna see the coolest zipper pouch ever?

This "dork" pouch is my latest Etsy acquisition, and do I ever love it. The shop is FriedOkra and she makes the most unique pouches I've seen. Hand embroidered lettering, rick rack, monkeys...what more could you ask for? Please do yourself a favor and check her out. (The sock monkeys are great too.)

And, while I'm in a shout out kind of mood, I'll let you in on a surprising find. Actually, Nick spotted this at the grocery store. I'm a huge fan of all things pumpkin flavored so I was definitely intrigued. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a huge fan of instant coffee, but this stuff is pretty good.

Sometimes I just don't feel like brewing coffee, but I want a tasty hot drink. It takes 4 teaspoons of powder to make this, but it's got a lovely smell and it really does taste good for instant fake coffee. Give it a try and tell me what you think.

Fabric rules!

I'm totally addicted, not that this is a new thing. Why do these companies keep coming up with all of this great stuff? Do they think I'm made of money?

This is my latest "favorite" line of fabric. It's Building Blocks by American Jane for Moda. I love their stuff. I bought the whole fat quarter collection, which isn't cheap. Now I'm just trying to figure out what to do with it. Maybe a couple different zipper pouches or baby bibs. I've been wanting to add floppy hats to my site, you know, for kids? I think these fabrics would be great for kids products, or for teachers. The colors are great and the images too. I happen to have a weakness for vintage so this line is right up my alley. Here's an idea...how about a patchworky diaper bag using a bunch of these prints? I guess I know what I'm going to do today.
