Yarnilicious

Every now & then I need to update my custom monkey yarn colors. I don't want my monkeys to get boring so I add new ones, stop using certain colors & so on. I've rephotographed my yarns & here's what I came up with...


These yarns make pretty photos, don't they? Perhaps I should print them and hang them in my sewing room for inspiration.

I've added lots of new colors and only discontinued a few. I now have 29 color choices in the shop (the monkey shop, that is)! Oh my gosh. Now I need to come up with a good way to keep them organized.

Monkey Coffee

A little while ago I received a request to use some of my Flickr photos in an article on nowpublic.com. I generally agree when I get these requests, I see it as free publicity. Anyway, I went on the site to check out the article and I had to point it out to you. Not only does it feature some great monkey photos (I love the monkey in the latte), but it's pretty interesting stuff.


I have to admit that what really struck me was the bit on top linking to an article about gourmet cat poo coffee on Wikipedia. Where have I been? Gourmet Cat Poo Coffee? ewwww

Rubbish Weather

This is for all of the people who think it's sunny every day in California. Oh yeah, and evey city is on the beach! lol Just kiddin' The weather here lately has been really bad. Yesterday I felt like Dorothy, I thought the house would blow away. Just miserable. It's not much better today, but we're staying dry and keeping warm.
Generally, I prefer living in a place with some rain and cold, but it's making my life very hard at the moment. I can't take any decent pictures of the things I'm making. Unfortunatley, I don't have room to build myself a little light box, so I have to make do with sunshine. What do you do when there isn't any? Anyone have any great photo tips? I think I'll get some little table lamps with daylight bulbs to use as filler, that might help. Let's hear some picture taking tips. (Jenn, I know how you do it and if I had a basement, I'd do the same thing.)
