It's a Baby!

Our 20 week ultrasound went well yesterday, everything seems to be progressing fine and I am gaining just the right amount of weight (which is amazing considering my appetite!).

Here's one of the piccies they gave us. We got a whole cd of baby pictures to take home, haha. Can you see the baby's little face?

I guess you're wondering what the sex is, huh? I'll give you a hint....
I bought this adorable knitting pattern on Etsy last night from BEKAHknits. She sent it really fast too, I love that! Check this one out, omg!

So, yeah, it's a GIRL!!!

Of course, I already had fabric lines picked out either way. We'll be going with Dolly Dresses from Lakehouse. This is just a few of them.

There are also polka dots, gingham, elephants and more colors too (periwinkle blue and grass green *sigh*). I think it'd be fun to paint the room grass green...that way it'll work for anyone once we get around to a second baby (I know, I'm a planner, I can't help it). Girly but not too frilly. You like?

Now, I gotta go shopping......

Progress Report

It was a great weekend!

I have 3 upper cabinets now, and 5 more on the way.  Hooray for storage and progress!

I've pretty much finished my clown socks, I just need to weave in the ends of the yarn and stitch up the toe on the 2nd sock. What I learned: make 2 socks at once! Cool.

The excitement of finishing the socks made me rush on over to Etsy and pick up some knitting patterns from Danger Crafts. Have you seen that shop? OMG!

I bought a 5-Pack of patterns, here's my first project...

He's called Maddox, and Jody likes him too.

I must say, after knitting socks, it's pretty great to be able to finish something in a few hours instead of a few weeks! I've got loads of yarn left, so I may just move on to one of the other patterns right away. Should I go with this one, or this one? *sigh* I think I may be addicted to yet another craft.

Irresistible Gifts to Knit

This weekend Nick & I went to Borders so he could pick out something for his birthday (which was last Thursday). While Nick was in his usual section (computers), I took a quick look at the crafty magazines. I found this incredible treasure there, just calling my name.

It's a whole book of adorable little knitting patterns from the UK. It's from the makers of Simply Knitting magazine. Why didn't I find this when I lived there? All of these patterns are just to die for and were written by a man! Yes ladies, a man! His name is Alan Dart and I think I have a new hero.

Here's the first thing that caught my eye. How cute is that?

My friend Julie loves cows, I might start with this pattern.

A bunny in a bikini!?! Stop it!

Haha, I'm going to keep this book nearby so I can look forward to trying it out after the wedding. I'm a very beginning knitter, but this is really irresistible. I'm thinking gifts for myself. It might be the perfect thing for when I join the Stitch & Bitch group in Mill Valley. At least then I could get some help if I need it.
