Time Management
Nope. I really need to set myself up with a schedule. I'm all over the place these days. With a cat in the hospital, things to mail, presents to sew, I'm hopeless. I haven't blogged in days, oh whoa is me. haha Anyway, I thought I'd do a quick little post about my sewing room. It's not much at the moment, but there's lots of potential.
Plenty of windows for good, natural light. A big closet for hiding supplies (I don't like clutter). I think it will shape up nicely. You can see my cool folding table there now. I got that to use for craft shows. If only I could find one to participate in. It's working out well as a sewing table while I wait for the shipment.
I still haven't figured out what pictures to hang in here. I've got a ton in boxes down in the garage, but I can't decide which ones to use for my room. It's a dilemma. I just ordered a cute little tasket from Jenn Maruska that will look great in this room, I guess I'll start from there. Any suggestions?

Oh, finally a glimpse into your sewing room! I've been so curious...
It looks wonderful - love that nice closet to tuck things away in! And bare walls - you can do anything you want with them.
Well, the tasket is made with pink fabric - so maybe some other little touches of girlyness are called for : )
Have you painted the walls? Will you make curtains for the windows?
Ah, the possibilities......
Well, there's definitely lots of potential! Looks like you will have a lot of fun fixing it to suit you.
I love the idea of open shelves for your fabric and then folding it so you can see it all at once.
I also love that you have the sewing machine facing the window - hopefully you have a nice view to inspire you while you're busy creating.
It looks fantastic. Very bright with lots of space, which can help one be very organized and on top of things. I love jenn maruska's little taskets too, and you're right, it will look so bright and cheery to match your room. I like the dress form too, that's really cool that you have one! I'm sure as you use the room, in time, it will naturally become exactly what you want. I can't see the pictures too closely, but they look nice with the clean-cut black frames.
Your sewing room looks brilliant! Mine is cluttered to high heaven with no organization in sight :)
When in doubt, I always go with flowers. (I was trying to see what the pictures were lined up on the floor, but the photo doesn't enlarge.)
Man I am jealous of how clean your room is! My studio is disgustingly littered with moving boxes and piles of cds and random crap!
Wow, I love your sewing room! I still have a back bedroom as my craft room and it's filled with yarn and material. I drag my sewing machine to the dining room table...after I clean it off!
I added you to my favorites : )
I mostly crochet and knit, but have a newfound love to sew!
