Back in the Swing
Hey there! How are you? I feel really bad that I'm blogging so infrequently, but you know how it is with a new baby in the house. I just thought I'd drop in and give you an update on how things are going around here.
Amelia is now 3 months old, if you can believe that! At my baby group they're always saying how hard the first 3 months are...if you can just get through the first 3 months, things will be easier.
I guess that's pretty true. Not so much that it's hard, but the fact that you get those big smiles every time you look at her makes things a lot more fun. I can't complain, other than occasional wake-ups, she sleeps about 8 hours a night...she's growing, smiling, putting her hand in her mouth and wiggling all the time. Still not much hair to speak of (except eyelashes!), but it's coming along slowly, haha.
Now that Amelia's so grown up, she's giving me lots more time to get things done around the house...and to sew!
I've started to slowly restock my Etsy shop (not so much restocking of the monkey shop, however) and I've got about a million knitting projects in the works. Occasionally I get a babysitter for the afternoon so I have a few hours to focus on things. This week Trisha and I are going to spend the day working on a year-long project that I'll tell you about later. I'm so looking forward to it too.
Today I even got around to listing a little messenger bag I've had sitting here since about August
Better late than never, right?

I loved those first few months with each of my littles. So fun! Now, sometimes I wish they were less mobile like when they were little so I could get my crafty things done...
She does have long eye lashes! What a beauty!
Very cute! I was wondering if you could tell me what little Amelia is lounging in in the first photo. I very much like the pattern.
So nice to see you blogging again. It is amazing how much time a little baby takes up. By the way she is gorgeous!
She is lovely! I can't believe that 3 months has passed already... and I'm impressed that you are already back in the swing of things. So intrigued about your and Trisha's project! Happy sewing!
Hard to believe it's already been three months! She's adorable. :) I'm glad she's giving you some time to do some sewing and crafting!
Awwww... she's such cutey! I so fondly remember the time when our kids were that age, it's so precious *sniff, sniff*. It sounds like you are all settling into the groove, just as you should. Enjoy those smiles, enjoy your crafting time, and nap when you can.
Love that bag!!!
Smiles, Karen

Really she looks brilliant. I am happy that you are able to give some time to do some sewing and crafting. I like her little t-shirt. It was nice experience to have come across your blog.
I saw the same coupon clutch on the latest Creative Machine Embroidery magazine. Is the pattern written by you?
