Some New Things
I am slowly trying to get things made and listed in my shop though my hands haven't improved at all. I can still sew as long as I don't do any one task for too long. Mass amounts of rotary cutting have proven very painful. Anyway, I've managed to get a few things made from that cool monkey fabric I picked up last week.
I'm pleased with each of the monkey bags and hope to come up with some more later in the week. I've got some custom items to get made first.
I also started listing my new mini wallets. I hope to add the pattern for this design to the shop at some point too. And if you're wondering about the shopper tote pattern, it's coming along slowly. It takes quite a long time to get a sewing pattern laid out and written, and my hands don't enjoy spending much time on the computer. I'll get there, some day. It's amazing how little you can do when your hands are out of commission. It's very hard for me, being one of those people who can't sit still.
I'm just going to go watch my morning dose of Little House while coveting my new fabrics. I can dream, can't I?
Oh! And remember to stop by Jenn's blog today and wish her a Happy Birthday! She's 29 again and giving something away too.

That monkey fabric is incredibly cute!
I can only imagine how frustrating it is to have your hands out of commission. Sometimes I do too much and my hands get sore/tired for a day or two and just that amount of time drives me crazy.
Loving all three of your cutey monkey purses! I am so sorry that your hands hurt like they do :o( I hope you get some relief soon, it must be so hard for you!
Smiles, Karen
When I was pregnant, I was so swollen my fingers were numb. It really sucked. Hang in there and take it easy. Rest is the only way to get back in action.
I am so worried about your wrist! Have you tried wearing those special fingerless gloves that are out there for people with wrist problems?
Love what you have done with that darling monkey fabric!
You've turned the monkey fabric
into such cute bags!
And little wallets - in pretty iSew style!
Hope you can take time to rest and feel better soon.
: )
I appreciate your sharing your hand injury experiences and subsequent actions to help minimize the damage. I've been having the same sort of trouble and my two-week vacation helped but I know I'll soon be back at square one with the problem.
I'm catching up on my blog reading since I've now returned from vacation and see you've been posting some fun things.
I just discovered your blog through Flickr - your work is stunning. Really well finished!!
Hope your hands are back in action soon. I had tensinovitis in both hands when my daughter was a newborn, and it was awful - but got better. Hang in there!
